Pitot-static systems provide a measurement of the airspeed, a very critical parameter for the pilot. Pitot tube obstruction is a very frequent issue (from icing, insects, etc.), causing aborted take-offs, emergency landing, and unfortunately also accidents (several hundred people died so far).
Pitot Guardian® is the only possible solution to detect Pitot tube obstruction in all aircraft types, old and new, and is being developed by Fly High Engineering for commercial aviation, the industry with the most stringent regulatory constraints.
The Pitot Guardian® team includes Nick Haddock (inventor, 30 y experience in engineering of safe and robust systems for critical applications), Diego Casadei (20+ y experience in leading international R&D teams and contributed to four space missions), Stephane Jaquier (manager for 15 y of various avionics companies, leading international business development), Thomas Teschlusen (licensed pilot and former air force officer with 20 y experience in avionics business development), and Ulrich Dembinksi (35 y regulatory experience in safety critical domains like aviation and transport).
